Merry Christmas from Footprints!
Join Footprints Preschoolers on Wednesday, December 14th at 11:00am in our sanctuary for our Christmas program! This year, we are taking a spin on the classic "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".
Rudolph carries a great light. However, he tries to cover this light in an attempt to fit in to the world around him. Friends bully Ruldolph, the snow monster frightens him, and he runs from his gift because he does not see its worth. When Rudolph discovers that his light is a treasure that can be used to help others, he is able to step into the role of protecting his family, leading Santa's sleigh and saving Christmas Eve!
How often do we, as followers of Christ, try to hide Jesus' light so that we can fit into the world around us, and not feel like such a misfit? Come join us, as we portray this precious story with great significance and encouragement for all ages. You may just leave with a determination to let the light of Jesus shine through you in ways you never imagined!
We hope you can join us!

105 N. Breazeale Ave, Mount Olive
Welcome to Mount Olive Presbyterian Church located in Mount Olive, NC at the corner of West Main Street and North Breazeale Avenue. We are a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation of 230 members called together by Almighty God to bear witness and serve the Lord Jesus Christ through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. We welcome all who are seeking to learn what it means to follow Jesus, to become a disciple ("learner"), and to grow in that relationship.
Live Nativity: A new twist on a favorite MOPC Tradition
Live Nativity is a tradition that stretches back 40 years or more at Mount Olive Presbyterian. It began with adults and older youth, but it became an outreach of LOGOS when the program started 18 years ago.
Under LOGOS, Live Nativity involved dressing a complete set of nativity characters at least three times in order to give every child a chance to participate. The idea was passersby would see the Live Nativity set for simply a glimpse. However, it could get chaotic getting kids dressed for the next round.
We decided this year to give Live Nativity a bit more reverence, and combine the elements of our traditional Christmas pageant. It will be set once. With narration and music our children will present the full Christmas story, from the arrival of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, the angels’ proclamation to the shepherds, and the visit of the Wise Men.
So, we ask that you arrive by 7pm on December 14 and be prepared to enjoy the Christmas story from start to finish. All are invited to join us for a reception in Baker Fellowship Hall following. Please bring a finger food or dessert to share!
Rain Date: Sunday, December 18.
